“Alma”
Short Film
My most cherished film, Alma, draws inspiration from Mexican culture and explores themes of family unity, resilience, and discovery. The story centers on two sisters coping with the loss of their parents. Through a heartfelt letter, they come to understand each other's needs.
The film was written, directed, produced, and edited by me and Gabriela Azcorra over the course of 17 weeks. Together, we poured our vision and dedication into every aspect of Alma, crafting each scene with a deep respect for its themes and our cultural roots. ENJOY!
“Peace.”
Simple Scene
This short simple scene explores the experience of overstimulation in a cityscape, capturing the overwhelming sights and sounds that can consume the mind. The protagonist navigates the chaos of urban life—honking cars, chatter, and flashing lights—while struggling to find a sense of calm.
